Refractory Brick
Refractory brick or block are refractory materials fired from refractory clay or other refractory raw materials. They have a certain shape and size and can be used as high-temperature building materials and structural materials for building kiln and various thermal equipment. They can withstand high temperatures, a variety of physical and chemical changes and mechanical effects, also known as fire bricks.
Monolithic Refractories
A refractory material which is a mixture of refractory aggregates and powders, binders and admixtures. It is used in the lining of thermal equipment, and without firing process. Compared with refractory bricks, it has the characteristics of simple process, energy saving, low cost and easy mechanized construction. It is better to use on some thermal equipment than refractory bricks. They have not a fixed shape and can be made into a paste, a paste and a loose form. These materials can be used to form a seamless joint structure.
Insulating Refractories
The insulating refractory products have a porosity of not less than 45%. Its main characteristics are high porosity, low bulk density, low thermal conductivity, low heat capacity and good thermal insulation performance. They are both heat-insulating and heat-resistant. They are generally used as insulation layers for various thermal equipment, and some can also be used as working layers. They are energy-saving materials for building various furnaces. Replacing general dense refractory products with insulating refractory products as building materials can reduce heat storage and heat loss by 40%-90%, especially for discontinuous thermal equipment.
